Easily access, organize, and share your design assets using Creative Cloud Libraries. As you and your creative team move between computers and devices, your shared library items are ready to use anywhere, in your Creative Cloud desktop and mobile apps.

Step 1 of 5

Add assets to CC Libraries

Launch Photoshop and open an existing document with images and text content. Choose Window > Libraries to open the Libraries panel.
You can use the Library menu to create a new Library and name it, or simply add your assets to the default library, named My Library.
Tip: You can create an unlimited number of Libraries to organize your assets.

It’s easy to add assets to Libraries as you work on your projects.
To add a graphic to a library, select its layer, and click the Add Graphics button. You can also simply drag the graphic from the canvas to the Libraries panel to add it. A graphic thumbnail appears; you can double-click the name of the graphic to rename it.

To capture a color, use the Eyedropper Tool to select a color; then click the corresponding button in the Library.
You can save text and layer styles in the same way: Select the text layer, and click the Add Text Style button. To capture a layer style, select the layer, and click the Add Layer Style button.
Your creative assets are organized by category, so they’re easy to locate. Once saved, you can access and use them in other apps such as Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe mobile apps like Adobe Comp CC.

Browse Adobe Stock for royalty-free stock images and automatically add them to your libraries. Click the Adobe Stock icon in the CC Libraries panel to access the Adobe Stock website. When you've found the right asset, you can add a watermarked asset to your library to try out in your project, or purchase a full-resolution licensed asset.
To download a watermarked asset, click Save Preview to [Library name]. To license a full-resolution asset, click License & Save to [Library name]. The asset is instantly available to use from the Libraries panel.
Tip: You can license a watermarked image from your Libraries panel by right-clicking its thumbnail and then selecting License this image.

Step 2 of 5

Reuse assets from CC Libraries

Now that you've saved creative assets to Libraries, you're ready to reuse them in your designs—in the same file, another project, or another app.
To add graphics to your project, drag a graphic asset from the Libraries panel to your canvas.

To apply a saved color, character style, or layer style, target the layer in the Layers panel, and click the appropriate thumbnail in your Library.

Step 3 of 5

Always work with updated graphics

When you drag a graphic from your library to a Photoshop project, it is linked back to Creative Cloud by default. Linked assets will be represented with a cloud icon in the Layers panel. If you make a change to a library asset, the linked instances of it will update in projects you currently have open.
Linked assets that have been updated since you last opened a project will be flagged in the Layers panel. To update an asset to the most current version in your Library, right-click on the layer and select Update Modified Content. To update all the assets that have changed, select Update All Modified Content.
Note: You can always place an unlinked copy of an asset by right-clicking on its thumbnail and selecting Place Layers.

Step 4 of 5

Share CC Libraries with others

You can share library assets with your team to ensure everyone is using the latest iterations. In the top corner of the Libraries panel, click the panel menu icon and choose Collaborate. In the browser window that appears, enter your collaborator’s email address and click Invite. They’ll receive a message with a link to accept your invitation, and will be able to add, remove, and edit the assets in the library.

Alternatively, you can share a link with your team so they can view and download a copy of the library for their own use. Choose Share Link from the Libraries panel options. This opens in a browser window. Click Create Public Link to share your library, and copy the public link to use elsewhere or enter email addresses for recipients. Click Advanced Options to allow or prevent downloads of your library to their Libraries panel.
Note: When you use this method, your library will not be affected by changes your recipients make to their own copy.

Step 5 of 5

CC Libraries in Adobe mobile apps

Inspiration strikes in unexpected places. Using Adobe mobile apps such as Adobe Color CC, Adobe Shape CC, and Adobe Brush CC, you can capture color themes, shapes, and brushes to add elements from real life to your libraries. As you collect library assets while you are out and about, they are automatically synced to your Creative Cloud account to be used in projects on your desktop or other mobile apps like Adobe Comp CC.

Capture the shapes, colors, and images that spark your creativity as you’re on the go. No matter where you design your projects, your favorite assets are always accessible and ready to use in your Creative Cloud connected desktop and mobile apps.

Huawei - professed "wah-way" - may not be the first brand that strikes a chord when you consider extravagance. The Chinese maker is principally known for its line of reasonable Android cell phones. Be that as it may, your conclusion of the brand might soon change. In the wake of seeing the organization's first smartwatch, I know mine has.

The $350 computerized timepiece, essentially called Huawei Watch, is one of the most attractive smartwatches we've seen to date. Basically, it's delightful. Huawei additionally figured out how to pack in some additional elements that assist the with watching emerge in an inexorably swarmed market. The Huawei Watch has the most astounding determination showcase of any Android Wear watch and is the first to highlight sapphire precious stone, which ought to make it a considerable measure more hard to scratch or break. Also, that show is dependably on of course - a decent change from different smartwatches, which for the most part oblige a screen tap or a wrist flick to light up the screen.

Be that as it may, in spite of the greater part of its points of interest, the watch misses the mark in terms of usefulness. That is a deficiency because of its basic Android Wear working framework, which is as confounding and chaotic here as it is on each other watch utilizing Google's wrist-based working framework. However, the Huawei Watch additionally brandishes not as much as front line equipment, and does not have some higher-end smartwatch components, as constant heart rate checking and GPS following.

While we'd be willing to look past those issues if the Huawei Watch was as moderately reasonable as the organization's telephones, its $350 sticker price is really at the high end of the scale for Android Wear watches, and even with the Apple Watch's entrance level model. (Valuing and accessibility for the Huawei Watch outside of the US has not yet been uncovered, but rather the US base value believers to £230 and AU$500 in the UK and Australia, separately.) Absent a value cut, the Huawei Watch is best for style forward Android telephone proprietors with money to blaze.

The Huawei Watch looks more like a conventional watch than a smartwatch, and that is something worth being thankful for. Just once was I ceased on the tram by an inquisitive observer (who mistook the look for the Moto 360), contrasted with day by day questions when wearing an Apple Watch.

Not just does the watch resemble a premium item, yet it additionally feels like one. The Huawei Watch is fabricated with icy fashioned stainless steel. It isn't too overwhelming, additionally not all that light that it feels shabby. It feels great close by, and far and away superior when worn on the wrist.

The showcase on the watch is secured by sapphire gem, a first for an Android Wear watch. This ought to make it harder to scratch and smash the watch face, and that gave off an impression of being valid. While I didn't drop the watch on cement or venture on it, I did wear it for a two-week period and wasn't modest about chancing upon side tables and dividers. The stainless steel body and the screen still look great.

The 1.4-inch AMOLED presentation is a finished circle, which I loved a considerable measure - particularly contrasted with the screen on the Moto 360, which has an unattractive dark bar at the base. In any case, the Huawei Watch do not have an encompassing light sensor, something the new Moto 360 incorporates. This obliges you to physically set the screen brilliance, as opposed to it naturally conforming taking into account your surroundings.

That round screen looks incredible, on account of a 400x400-pixel determination (286 pixels for every inch), which is higher than whatever other Android Wear watch accessible today. Regardless of this high determination, however, despite everything I experienced issues seeing it in direct daylight.

Under the skin, the Huawei Watch is about indistinguishable to each other Android Wear watch. It's fueled by a 1.2GHz quad-center Snapdragon 400 processor, as opposed to a more current Snapdragon 410. There's likewise 512MB of RAM, 4GB of space to store music and applications, and Wi-Fi locally available so you can utilize the watch regardless of the possibility that your iPhone or Android cell phone is abandoned

US consumers are about to get a new defense against cybercrime. The armor will take the form of credit and debit cards with a built-in chip, which retailers must be able to read as of Thursday.

Short for EuroPay, MasterCard and Visa, EMV chips create a one-time-use code needed for each purchase, which makes stolen card numbers less valuable on the black market. Consumers may see slightly longer transaction times as in-store readers run the EMV cards, assuming merchants have set up the new payment terminals in time.

Industry watchers don't expect every merchant to meet Thursday's deadline, which was set last year by MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express. Retailers do have an incentive to act quickly, though. Stores that don't have EMV-reading terminals will need to make good on in-store purchases made with counterfeit cards. ATMs and gas pumps will face the same liabilities in 2017.

The card companies wrote that rule after cybercriminals stole about 40 million credit and debit card numbers from the payment system of retailer Target during the 2013 holiday-shopping season. Currently, the banks that issue cards are on the hook for fraudulent charges.

There are two ways hackers steal sensitive information. They can use card skimmers to read a card's magnetic stripe at an ATM or gas pump. They can also penetrate retailers' corporate information systems, as they have with Target, Home Depot, Neiman Marcus and many others, to copy card numbers. Those stolen numbers can be used on fake cards to make fraudulent purchases. Two-thirds of fraudulent purchases inside stores are made with counterfeit cards, said Stephanie Ericksen, Visa's vice president of risk products. Authentic cards that were stolen account for the other third.

That's where these new chip cards can help. Because the chips send encrypted, one-time codes for each transaction, the cards are harder for fraudsters to read and duplicate, experts say. While the cards are just rolling out in the US, the technology isn't new. Europe started using cards with embedded chips in 2005. Apple Pay and Android Pay mobile payments work on the same underlying rules.

Despite the impending retailer deadline, many consumers still don't know about the new kinds of cards. In a survey conducted in August by ACI Universal Payments, 59 percent of consumers reported they hadn't received credit cards with EMV chips. Only a third knew the United States is shifting toward chip readers. What's more, only 27 percent of merchants are prepared for the October deadline for card reader technology, according to a report released in mid-September by the Strawhecker Group, a consulting firm for the payments industry.

Experts say the slow rollout could be due to the cost of new card-reading equipment. Merchants must weigh the expense of buying new payment systems and training employees on that gear against the unknown hit from fraudulent charges. Some may even consider their new liabilities the cost of doing business.

Consumers will need to adapt to the new system too, experts said.

"There may be some initial inconvenience at the point of sale," said TJ Horan, vice president of product management at FICO, which helps banks determine a consumer's credit risk.

Despite the increased security, industry watchers don't expect card fraud to disappear. Horan likens it to squeezing a water balloon: If you push fraud out of the system in one place, it will simply shift somewhere else.

concerned approximately how lengthy your new iPhone will ultimate? worry no extra, due to the fact Apple is paying greater to position its new iPhones together, and a longer lifespan and stepped forward resale cost appear to be the name of the sport.

that's what studies company IHS generation has stated after its state-of-the-art teardowns of the two new smartphones from the Cupertino, California-based totally tech massive.
IHS discovered that Apple is paying as plenty as $16 greater in step with unit to collect the brand new 16GB iPhone 6S Plus when compared with last year's iPhone 6 Plus, and the extra spending is protecting now not most effective new features like 3-D touch and Taptic remarks, but studier components to improve your iPhone's lifestyles expectancy.

"With each era [Apple] makes measured, incremental era enhancements to its iPhone line, and this time around the ones modifications are growing Apple's in line with-unit fabric price," said Andrew Rassweiler, senior director of value benchmarking services for IHS generation.

Given Apple's new upgrade software, in which iPhone proprietors (presently in the US only) can improve to the today's version every yr for a small month-to-month fee, it makes sense for the handset maker to double down on durability and resale fee of its handsets.

IHS' breakdown of the 16GB iPhone 6S Plus found out round $232 really worth of additives. The bill of materials covered a reinforced aluminium body (no bendgate here), a Gorilla Glass four display, better water-proof seals and an upgraded digicam and wi-fi modem.

Given the larger display length, stepped forward battery lifestyles changed into additionally a welcome addition. the two,750mHa battery itself is slightly smaller than the only observed inside the unique iPhone 6 Plus, but new strength-saving functions and processors suggest an improved lifespan.

The research firm has taken an in depth look at several Apple products through the years, including previous iPhone models, Macbooks and the Apple Watch. The breakdown of the iPhone 6 counseled that the components and production price of the iPhone 6 Plus introduced up to 29.4 percent of the device's advised retail charge, where the discern for the iPhone 6 became 31 percent.

at the same time as Apple is probably paying more for additives in the 16GB iPhone 6S Plus, it might not be taking too large successful on sale rate. IHS figures recommend that the whole price sits at round 31.5 percentage of the retail charge of $749.

One location in which Apple stands to show a bigger earnings is inside the iPhone models with the better storage models.

"NAND Flash is now so reasonably-priced it's nearly beside the point, however Apple monetizes this distinction with consumers, to the song of $a hundred for each additional step up in memory potential," Rassweiler said. "as an example, a sixty four GB iPhone now costs Apple about $17 more to make than a sixteen GB iPhone, but Apple expenses iPhone consumers $100 more for the improved reminiscence."

What is an operating system?

An operating system is the most important software that runs on a computer. It manages the computer's memory, processes, and all of its software and hardware. It also allows you to communicate with the computer without knowing how to speak the computer's language. Without an operating system, a computer is useless.

The operating system's job

Your computer's operating system (OS) manages all of the software and hardware on the computer. Most of the time, there are many different computer programs running at the same time, and they all need to access your computer's central processing unit (CPU), memory, and storage. The operating system coordinates all of this to make sure each program gets what it needs.

Types of operating systems

Operating systems usually come preloaded on any computer you buy. Most people use the operating system that comes with their computer, but it's possible to upgrade or even change operating systems.
The three most common operating systems for personal computers are Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, and Linux.
Modern operating systems use a graphical user interface, or GUI (pronounced gooey). A GUI lets you use your mouse to click icons, buttons, and menus, and everything is clearly displayed on the screen using a combination of graphics and text.
Each operating system's GUI has a different look and feel, so if you switch to a different operating system it may seem unfamiliar at first. However, modern operating systems are designed to be easy to use, and most of the basic principles are the same.

Computer generally means a programmable machine. The two principal characteristics of a computer are: it responds to a specific set of instructions in a well-defined manner and it can execute a prerecorded list of instructions (a program).

Modern Computers Defined

Modern computers are electronic and digital. The actual machinery wires, transistors, and circuits is called hardware; the instructions and data are called software.
All general-purpose computers require the following hardware components:

  • Memory: enables a computer to store, at least temporarily, data and programs.
  • Mass storage device: allows a computer to permanently retain large amounts of data. Common mass storage devices include disk drives and tape drives.
  • Input device: usually a keyboard and mouse, the input device is the conduit through which data and instructions enter a computer.
  • Output device: a display screen, printer, or other device that lets you see what the computer has accomplished.
  • Central processing unit (CPU): the heart of the computer, this is the component that actually executes instructions.
  • In addition to these components, many others make it possible for the basic components to work together efficiently. For example, every computer requires a bus that transmits data from one part of the computer to another.

Computer Classification: By Size and Power

Computers can be generally classified by size and power as follows, though there is considerable overlap:

  • Personal computer: a small, single-user computer based on a microprocessor. In addition to the microprocessor, a personal computer has a keyboard for entering data, a monitor for displaying information, and a storage device for saving data.
  • Workstation: a powerful, single-user computer. A workstation is like a personal computer, but it has a more powerful microprocessor and a higher-quality monitor.
  • Minicomputer: a multi-user computer capable of supporting from 10 to hundreds of users simultaneously.
  • Mainframe: a powerful multi-user computer capable of supporting many hundreds or thousands of users simultaneously.
  • Supercomputer: an extremely fast computer that can perform hundreds of millions of instructions per second.
